Join us for a tour of Nomacorc’s manufacturing facility in Zebulon where they manufacture wine closures using a novel co-extrusion process. During the tour you will witness the wine closure manufacturing process and learn about how the closures work and what makes the synthetic closure system superior to traditional closures.

Additional information can be seen here and here.

The tour will be led by Katherine Glasgow. Katherine is the Global Director of New Product Research & Development at Nomacorc LLC, the largest manufacturer of synthetic wine closures worldwide. Katherine studied chemistry at UNC Chapel Hill and Indiana University, earning her doctorate in 2000. She spent seven years at GE Plastics in process chemistry, product development, and project leadership before joining Nomacorc.

An optional dinner meeting will be held afterwards at Fargo Cattle Co. for those who wish to meet for dinner. Members and guests will be responsible for their own orders.
