Welcome to the 2016 Speaker Series: Eat, Drink, and Be ChemE, where we explore how chemical engineering plays a vital role in food and drink. And, we'll maybe imbibe a few potent potables ourselves, because it's fun and totally chemical engineering related, of course!
Our Speaker Series event #1 will start off with a Rieger Distillery Tour on Tuesday, April 19th at 5:30pm. The tour will be at J. Rieger & Co. Andy Rieger himself will be giving the tour and discussing some of the technical aspects of the distillery where they make whiskey, vodka, and gin. And, no distillery tour would be complete without some free drinks. Yes, that's right. In case you had a terrible accident as a child and can't read italics... this event is FREE! Free tour, free drink samples, Free Bird - actually, not that. You'll get kicked out if you start playing that. Especially if you pull out a lighter.
So, make sure to join us for the Rieger Distillery Tour on April 19th at 5:30pm. There's limited space available, so make sure to RSVP quickly and make sure that you can be there promptly for a 5:30pm tour time. Please RSVP by emailing us at aiche.kc@gmail.com. Please include the following in your email:
- Name
- Company (if any)
- Email Address
- Your favorite brand of whiskey [or vodka/gin if you don't have one; this isn't required, but I'd like to know for myself!]
Oh, yeah. And be sure to bring your ID!
Grab a spot on the Rieger distillery tour while spaces remain open. And, as always, special thanks to Burns & McDonnell for sponsoring this year's speaker series!
