Join us for the second event of the 2016 Speaker Series:Eat Drink and Be ChemE, where we explore the vital role that chemical engineering plays in your potent potables and enticing edibles. This time, we'll host Whitney Provost, a production engineer from Cargill, who will be discussing their crush process, which is the process of making crude soybean oil. She'll also discuss the Cargill process to turn that crude soybeal oil into edible vegetable oil.
Once again, the event will be located at Coal Vines, so you'll get not only a great presentation, but also some excellent food.
The event is on Tuesday, May 17th from 6pm to 8pm. Dues for members are only $5, and only $10 for nonmembers.
Space will be limited, so make sure you RSVP quickly. To do so, please email aiche.kc@gmail.com with your:
- Name
- Company (if any)
- Email Address
- Number of attendees
Once you've done that, we'll send you a Paypal link in response. If you have special dietary needs, make sure to let us know in your email multiple days in advance (the sooner you can, the better).
Hope to see you all there!
Special thanks, again, to Burns & McDonnell for sponsoring our Speaker Series!
