About this Special Event:

The speakers of our December meeting are part of the award-winning Mid-Michigan AIChE brewing team. The MMAIChE Saison - "Saison's greetings" - won the grand prize at the 2nd annual AIChE Beer Brewing Competition in Pittsburgh, PA on Sunday, October 28. This is the second year in the row that the Mid-Michigan Local Section has won the grand prize in this competition.  The team also bagged the Biggest Beer category (highest starting gravity before fermentation) prize for the "Beyond a Reasonable Stout". Congratulations Team MMAIChE!

The team will present their brewing process for some of these award-winning brews and explain how chemical engineering principles are used to make an excellent homebrew.
