Risk-based decision making (RBDM), also referred to as risk-informed decision making, relies on timely incorporation of important risk-related information into an organization’s decision-making processes. RBDM involves a series of basic steps. It can add value to almost any situation, especially when the possibility exists for serious or catastrophic outcomes. It is usually defined as a process that organizes information about the possibility for one or more unwanted outcomes into a broad, orderly structure that helps decision makers make more informed management choices. Attendees of this presentation will be introduced to the fundamental steps of RBDM, and some risk assessment tool(s) to provide the right information.
Attendees will earn 1 PDH of continuing education credit.
