This presentation will discuss the cost of carbon reduction, and how Direct Air Capture (DAC) technology can "cap" this cost. The presentation will also include a technical presentation on the technologies used for DAC and the particularly novel ways these existing technologies have been integrated into Carbon Engineering's DAC technology.

Robert Rossi is a technical consultant for this Carbon Engineering, a Canadian start-up company developing a climate change remediation technology that directly removes carbon dioxide from the air, a.k.a., “Direct Air Capture”. Mr. Rossi has provided, and continues to provide, technical guidance on all gas-solids thermal processing and caustic potash manufacturing technologies. Mr. Rossi has a BS in Chemical Engineering from NJIT, and over 50 years of experience in a variety of industries. He holds 5 patents and has made numerous presentations and publications throughout his career. He is a Past-Chair of the North Jersey section AIChE, and is currently serving ad the Section's Secretary.
