Honeywell’s Performance Materials and Technologies division has implemented various risk and process safety event reduction measures. These include implementing lessons learned, executing top risk projects, addressing process hazard analysis recommendations, and implementing corrective actions to compliance audit findings and incident investigation root causes.
Despite all these good process safety management practices, facilities can still experience process safety events that could harm people and the environment. A deep dive of Honeywell's process safety events revealed root causes associated with process safety fundamentals. This presentation will look at how Honeywell incorporated these root cause analyses into their standards, processes, and procedures. Noel will present on how industry can benefit from learning how Honeywell deployed this initiative.
