“Global Warming or Climate Change: Are they really the same?”

In this open discussion the speaker will conduct an interactive presentation navigating between the facts behind Global Warming and Climate change. By staying away from any political ramifications affecting proposed solutions and sticking to scientific facts, it is hoped that chemical engineers can come up with better conclusions than climatologists, thereby being able to propose better solutions to the “problem”. Special emphasis will be placed on the role of GHGs, A brief discussion of alternate energies will follow.
Zvi Blank, a former North Jersey Section AIChE member, has a BChE degree from Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, and a PhD degree from NYU. He later pursued a degree in Business Administration at Rutgers University. His industrial experience included a career with Allied Chemical, The Singer Company and Abex Corporation. From 1991 until October 2015, Zvi owned and managed CALI Labs, a multidisciplinary analytical laboratory conducting environmental, pharmaceutical and chemical testing. Zvi has presented a number of talks on global warming and alternate energy sources at several past AIChE national meetings. He is currently in the process of writing a book on the
