Event Description:
Jim Williams is an associate professor at University of San Francisco (USF) focusing on developing the next generation of energy professionals. Prof. Williams has a Bachelors in Physics from Washington & Lee University and a Masters and PhD in Energy Resources from UC Berkeley. Prof. Williams was formerly chief scientist at Energy and Environmental Economics (E3) working on a range of projects from renewable integration to greenhouse gas emission reduction. Prof. Williams also formerly taught at the Monterey Institute of International Studies researching ways to decarbonize China's power sector. His work helped shape California's climate and energy policies and influenced the long-term strategies for low-carbon transition in the Paris Agreement. Prof. Williams will give us insight into the current energy conversation and provide answers to questions about present and future clean technology and energy.
