The leadership team for the Ohio Valley Section (OVS) is thankful for the continuing support of AIChE members in the Greater Cincinnati area. As we continue on our reboot journey, our next meeting will be hosted by VEGA at their North American Headquarters at 3877 Mason Research Pkwy 45036 in Mason, OH.
VEGA is a global manufacturer of sensors for measuring level, point level, pressure as well as devices and software for integrating them into process control systems. VEGA's North American HQ caters to a broad range of industry sectors including chemical, pharmaceutical, food, drinking water, power generation, ships and aerospace. The VEGA operations in Cincinnati originally operated as Ohmart, specializing in radiation-based instrumentation for level and density measurement in America. VEGA’s portfolio now includes, among other things, level sensors and pressure sensors for chemical and pharmaceutical plants, the food industry as well as drinking water supply systems, metal extraction, sewage treatment plants and power generation stations.

The leadership team has drafted a revision of the section's bylaws, which were last updated in 1996; we need to bring them up date, streamline them, and make them consistent with the current AIChE recommendations. The next step is approval of the revised bylaws by the section. Please use the link above to review the current and propsed AIChE OVS bylaws in preparation for voting at the meeting during the event.
VEGA is very generously offering the services of their chef to provide the food for the evening as well as providing adult beverages. Due to this generous offer, the OVS is waiving the fees to attend this event and it will be free. Please register for the event by August 12, 2024 since we have to provide a headcount to VEGA. To register, please send an email to aiche.ovls@gmail.com.
Since the presentations and plant tour will have a strong technical content with processes and technologies directly relevant to Engineering, we will offer 1 PDH to those that request this credit.
We don’t anticipate a PPE requirement but will provide an update if needed.
We'd like to provide Vega with a final headcount soon, so please respond to this message to RSVP. We look forward to your participation in this fabulous event!
