Dr. Ian Proctor joined Dhahran Techno Valley Company (DTVC) in November 2013 as Managing Director to establish the Technology Commercialization function at DTVC. Prior to joining DTVC he worked as a Licensing Manager and most recently as Team Leader – IP Development and Partnering, at University of Manchester Intellectual Property (UMIP), UK. He has a track record of supporting early stage technologies from concept to commercial products and services across a number of industrial sectors including Oil & Gas, Chemical, Medical and Materials.  Ian studied at Keele University, UK for a BSc (Hons) Dual Honours: Biological & Medicinal Chemistry / Neuroscience, and PhD Chemistry.

Abstract

The talk will highlight the progress made since the establishment of the Technology Commercialization function at DTVC, 2 years ago. From inception in November 2013, a capable team has been built that now manage a strong portfolio of early stage technologies that have future commercial potential. The talk will also introduce some of the new technologies that DTVC have invested in.
