Engineers Without Borders - Washington University Student Projects in Uganda

Presentation about the student projects they are involved with in Uganda to provide water resources for two communities.

 

Speaker - Raymond Ehrhard, P.E, BCEE

Ray is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Environmental, Energy and Chemical Engineering at Washington University in St. Louis. He joined Washington University in 1994 as the Deputy Director of the EPRI (Electric Power Research Institute) Community Environmental Center. He has managed research programs to further the development of technical solutions and energy management principles affecting drinking water and wastewater facilities in the US and abroad. He continues to work on proof-of-concept pollution control and energy management solutions. He teaches classes on Sustainability, Zymurgy, International Experience, and Independent Study. His previous positions included wastewater facility design and permit approvals at the Illinois EPA and working as the environmental manager at a major manufacturing industry. Ray received a BS degree in Civil Engineering from Missouri S&T in 1977. He is a Registered Professional Engineer and Board Certified Environmental Engineer. Ray also serves as the student mentor and Responsible Engineer In Charge (REIC) for Washington University’s Engineers Without Borders (EWB) student chapter.
