They founded St. Louis Distillery to push the envelope of artisan distilling with the intent to produce absolutely smooth, ultra-pure vodkas. Hand crafted in the heart of the Midwest, the distillers of Cardinal Sin Vodka and Cardinal Sin Starka have gone to great lengths choosing the finest ingredients, and creating a one-of-a-kind distillation process to craft the most flavorful vodka you’ve ever tasted.

Their custom-built, imported still from New Zealand uses an advanced rectification technology, which ensures our product is rectified thousands of times versus stills with individual rectification plates. A patent-pending pressurized filtration process is the only one of its kind. And their toasted 2-row malted barley parts ways with conventional vodka recipes. Each bottle is hand corked and wax-dip-sealed to lock in our distinct, artisanal flavor profile.

St. Louis Distillery was formed in 2011 by three neighbors. They currently distribute Vodka and Starka (Americas first barrel-aged Vodka), and are in process of developing two varieties of Whiskey. They have won numerous gold medals for taste both domestically and internationally, and they were voted the #1 Craft Vodka Distillery in the Nation by USA Today in 2016 and won the Best Local Vodka in Go Magazine Top Pours in 2018.

The following areas are discussed during the tour.

  • Background and history
  • Our vision
  • Fermentation
  • Micro-Batch Distillation
  • Filtration
  • Proofing
  • Barreling
  • Bottling Dipping
  • Product tasting

We encourage and welcome questions and prefer to have an interactive audience.

This includes providing participants the opportunity to smell and taste the products during the various stages of the process. Many spirits buyers, bar owners, etc. often hear of the “good” and the “bad” components that make up a distillate, but are never given the opportunity to experience those products. We also provide an opportunity for bottling and dipping.

Following the tour we will retire to TGIFridays at 1998 First Capitol Dr S, St Charles, MO 63303-3772, less than 1 mile away.
