Missouri American Water Central County Water Treatment Plant Tour

Details of Tour:
Arrive at the site by 3:00 pm and gather in the visitor parking lot. Please wear close-toed shoes, hard hat, and safety glasses. Avoid wearing any shoes with heels as there are areas we’ll be walking across gratings. The facility will be able to provide some hard hats and safety glasses. We will meet at the start and finish of the tour at their Central Plant Downstairs Conference Room B. There will be some driving within the facility, so we will carpool from the visitor parking lot. The tour is expected to last about 1-1/2 hours. There will be time for questions and answers at the finish of the tour.

The Central County Water Treatment Plant is located at 901 Hog Hollow Road, Chesterfield, MO 63017.
Facility Details:
Learn how a utility, potable water, that we so take for granted unless you live in Jackson, MS or Flint, MI is produced and distributed. There will be focus on the chemical treatment utilized in the production of potable water. The tour will start at the intake.

Dinner will be self-paid following the tour at Satchmo’s Bar & Grill, 13375 Olive Boulevard, Chesterfield, MO 63017. They are located in the Woodchase Plaza, on the north side of Olive Boulevard, half a block west of 141.
