Mr. Michael Foggia is currently the Business Development and Marketing Manager, for Process Combustion Corp in Pittsburg, Pa.
He spent 25+ years with Rohm & Haas (now Dow) working in the Specialty Chemicals group, focusing on new product and process commercialization, technical service/customer support, and Sales, Marketing and Business Development for chemical and photo-lithographic technology applications used in the electronics manufacturing sector.
In 2006, he entered the air pollution control business, initially working on bio-oxidation technologies for the treatment of VOCs from industrial and municipal facilities and later diversifying into particulate removal/recovery, thermal oxidation and scrubber technologies.
Topic: Thermal Oxidation Technologies for VOC emissions control
This presentation will focus on Thermal Oxidation Technologies used to treat gas and liquid off gas emissions from chemical manufacturing and oil/gas processing plants:
1. Technology Description and basic Design parameters
a. Thermal Oxidizers
b. Regenerative Thermal Oxidizers
c. Flameless Thermal Oxidation
2. Typical Applications and Emissions reduction capabilities
3. Technology Selection to achieve regulatory compliance at the least cost

You will come away with an understanding of the primary control technologies used to control waste gas and liquids resulting from manufacturing processes, and how to choose from among the various technologies available for specific applications. Some actual application examples will be discussed.
Costs
There is no registration fee. The lunch menu ranges from $8 to $12, and the South Texas Section will subsidize lunches by $3 per attendee. STS members as well as non-members are welcome to attend. We only request that you pre-register at the STS-AIChE.org website so we can get an accurate head count for the restaurant.
