Topic: Process Considerations to Maximize Catalyst in Solution Polyolefin Polymerizations
Production of polyolefins by coordination catalysts in solution reactors is of increasing industrial importance. The development of novel, complex catalyst structures is improving the performance of existing products and expanding the market into new applications. However, as the complexity of these catalyst structures increases so too does the cost. In order to maintain reasonable manufacturing costs, greater attention must be given to maximizing the activity of these catalysts in the polymerization reactor. This presentation will give an overview of solution polyolefin polymerization and review chemical processing techniques to maximize catalyst activity in the polymerization reactor.
There is no registration fee. The lunch menu ranges from $8 to $12, and the South Texas Section will subsidize lunches by $5 per attendee.STS members as well as non-members are welcome to attend. We only request that you pre-register at the STS-AIChE.org website so we can get an accurate head count for the restaurant.
