Overview of Modern Flow Measurement Technologies

Steve Reinhart of Eastern Controls

Flow measurement technology has evolved far beyond the orifice plate.  Today there is a wide variety of technologies available today ranging from the inexpensive and inaccurate to the very expensive and very accurate.  All of these technologies have individual strengths and weaknesses to be considered before applying any technology to a particular application.  Sizing flow meters as well as proper installation practices must also be considered.

Steve Reinhart is an expert in flow measurement and other instrumentation applications.  Please bring your 'tough' flow measurement questions for him, including your 'difficult' applications to discuss with him and the group.

Upon arrival, use the side 'employee' entrance, ring the buzzer to be let in, sign in with security (organization is AIChE, Ashley Hudak is the person you are meeting, and the meeting will be in the Tech Center Cafe), get a visitor's badge, and you will be directed to the meeting room.
