John Schmelzle of Zephyr Environmental Corporation has kindly agreed to give us a presentation on PADEP Air Permitting Requirements for Process Industries. The meeting will be held at Hershey’s Chocolate World in Hersheypark. We’re meeting in the Chocolate Tasting Experience Lobby Room, which is just to the left of the main lobby next to the 4-D show. The meeting includes a catered dinner with fresh-made gourmet sandwiches and Caesar salad, which is covered by the $15 meeting fee.

Hershey’s Chocolate World is open to the public 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Please arrive before the doors close at 6:00 PM, else you may not get in. In fact, you may want to arrive earlier to take in any shows and experiences. Admission and parking are free.
 
Speaker Biography: John Schmelzle, Project Manager, Zephyr Environmental Corporation 
John Schmelzle has over 23 years of air quality permitting and compliance experience. The majority of his consulting experience is with air permitting in Pennsylvania with a wide range of industrial, energy, and institutional clients. He has extensive experience with Title V, Nonattainment New Source Review (NNSR), and minor source air permitting; New Source Performance Standards (NSPS) and National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP) compliance; and air emissions inventory development. John is also accomplished in Toxic Release Inventory (TRI) reporting and Tier II reporting. He has presented on topics such as oil and gas air permitting and emission factor evaluations for air emissions inventories. He holds a B.S. degree in Chemistry and a M.S. degree in Environmental Pollution Control, both from Penn State University.
