The Hershey Company Lancaster PA Twizzler Plant Tour

Program:       The Hershey Company’s Lancaster Plant produces all the Twizzlers branded licorice including multiple flavors of Twizzler Twists, Pull ‘N' Peel, Nibs, and Bites for The Hershey Company. The plant will manufacture 194 million pounds of finished goods in 2022. Hershey acquired Y & S Candies in 1977 from Young and Smylie who were the company’s founders in 1845 and source of the brand name Y&S.

Don Schoelkopf, Continuous Improver Manager, will host the tour. Don has been employed with The Hershey Company for 31 years. During this time, Don spent 19 years at the Lancaster Plant, and 12 years at the Reese Plant in various manufacturing roles with progressive responsibility including shift Supervisor, Manufacturing Manager, and Operations Excellence Manager.

Meeting participants are eligible for a 2-hr Professional Development Hour (PDH) Certificate. Request a certificate when you RSVP for the meeting.

 Location:      The plant address is 400 Running Pump Rd, Lancaster, PA 17603.

Add’l Info:

• Enter and park in main parking lot off of Old Tree Drive, walk up the sidewalk to the security main entrance.
• No open toed shoes, flip flops, crocs.
• No wheelchairs, canes or crutches. 
• No obvious competitors of The Hershey Company.
• No pictures allowed inside the facility.
• Forms will be at the front desk to sign upon entering.
• All required PPE will be provided.
• There is a 20-person limit for the tour. The tour will be filled in the order that people RSVP. Those over the limit will be added to a waiting list and notified in case of cancellations.
• No dinner venue is planned for this meeting.
