Advances in real-time trace gas analysis:

How SIFT-MS is disrupting the analytical industry

This month, we will, once again, be having a joint meeting with the American Chemical Society.  The presentation will focus on the real-time, high-sensitivity, direct sampling technique called Selected Ion Flow Tube Mass Spectrometry (SIFT-MS). This is a powerful tool for material emissions analysis, health and safety, food and flavor, and environmental monitoring. It allows simultaneous, instant analysis of compounds as diverse as aldehydes, sulfur compounds, nitrogen compounds, hydrocarbons, and aromatics.  The presentation will review the theory behind the technique, it will include key examples of where the technique is utilized and show how SIFT-MS is changing the way chemical analysis is performed

The speaker will be Billy Mills who works on developing new applications and relationships with customers, and introducing the technique to new industry areas with Syft Technologies
