Don Gurney will discuss renewable energy, covering primarily solar and wind. He will include information on recent cost facts that are not being addressed by the media and other sources. Don will use his energy bill in cents per kilowatt-hour, to illustrate the typical costs U.S. consumers are paying. Current costs for the United States and other countries will be shown to inform the audience what is really occurring, and what is to come. The “Devil is in the Details,” but they are not difficult to understand.
Don has held officer and senior technical positions at the following companies: Fluor, Hill International, Pedco, G.D. Searle, SmithKline, Parsons, Mustang Engineering and Velsicol. His experience includes designing manufacturing facilities to produce Fine Chemicals, Specialty Chemicals, Petrochemicals and Pharmaceutical chemicals, and, Pharmaceutical dosage forms via chemical and biochemical synthesis. He holds a Doctor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology (Hoboken, NJ).
