Rapidly Addressing Gaps and Solutions in AI Education for Bioprocessing and Smart Manufacturing in Biotech (RAGSAB) | AIChE

A collaborative workshop between AIChE Institute for Learning and Innovation (ILI), the Keck Graduate Institute (KGI) , and the Society for Biological Engineering (SBE). The workshop focused on addressing critical gaps and solutions in AI education for Bioprocessing and Smart Manufacturing in Biotech. The workshop focused on addressing critical gaps and solutions in AI education for Bioprocessing and Smart Manufacturing in Biotech.

The current mismatch between university programs and the rapidly evolving skill demands of the industry is evident, exacerbating the challenge of meeting the increasing demand for candidates proficient in these areas. As pharmaceutical employers struggle to find qualified individuals, this initiative becomes all the more crucial. By convening students, academics, government agency officials, and industry professionals from diverse institutions, we aim to foster interdisciplinary dialogue and identify Gaps and Solutions for rapid implementation in the student curriculum.

This workshop will not only bolster US University competitiveness but also contribute valuable insights to the broader scientific and university community. Ultimately, the outcomes will be disseminated through publication in a reputable journal, ensuring broad accessibility and impact. Call for Abstracts and Resumes: NSF Workshop on AI in Bio
