This session is dedicated to methods for developing interfaces that mimic biological systems, either in form or function with applications in biomaterials or targeted drug delivery. Emphasis will be given to interfaces that have been designed to selectively interact with a specific cell type through biomolecular recognition events based on insight from the functions and synthetic pathways of biological structures.
