Debottlenecking chemical processes is necessary to sustain cost effective production and manage capacity in an ever changing marketplace. This session seeks systematic methodologies/technologies that facilitate the analysis of system interconnections and interaction of processing units, the identification of inefficiencies, and the reduction of the bottlenecks in plant design and operation. Applications of the methodology and technology include, but not limited to, the critical processes or equipment (e.g., reactors and energy-based or mass-separating-agent-based separation units), as well as utility systems (e.g., furnaces and boilers).
