This session will focus on design principles, synthesis, processing methods and properties (chemical and physical) of nanostructured scaffolds for tissue engineering. The concept nanostructured should be loosely interpret, and may include nano-reinforced composites, polymeric scaffold whose unique tissue engineering capacity is enhanced by elements posessing nanoscale dimesions, and hybrid materials in which nanoparticles, nanocomposities, and other biomaterials are blended to create an optimal platform for tissue regeneration.
