New Approaches to Integrating Plant Operations and Control Systems

Recent advancements in information management technology and hardware are providing new opportunities to improve the performance of chemical manufacturing plants in many areas, including design, operations, maintenance, safety, and regulatory compliance. At the same time, globalization of chemicals production is creating new challenges to identifying optimum strategies and technologies, and deploying them effectively. Through an investigation of promising new technologies for plant operations and process control in chemical manufacturing plants, this session will elucidate how an integrated approach can lead to faster adoption of best management practices and realization of performance benefits in these areas.
