Polymers for Biofunctional Surfaces

Chair(s)

Meredith, C., GeorgiaTech

Co-chair(s)

Levicky, R., Polytechnic Institute of New York University

We invite presentations presenting new advances in the development and characterization of polymeric biomaterials. In particular, this session highlights surfaces that impart significant bioactivity, loosely defined as surface features that cause specific biological responses. A wide range of applied biomaterials are covered, including tissue engineering, diagnostic materials, culture surfaces, drug delivary and others. Surface features may include chemistry, morphology, and topography and biological responses may include cell attachment, proliferation, maturation, protein adsorption and activity, or other tissue responses.
