Concept mapping is an approach that enables professors to guide undergraduates by helping them identify the mathematical and scientific constructs needed to correctly solve chemical engineering problems. This is especially helpful because there are multiple ways to arrive at engineering solutions. This is another attempt to demystify chemical engineering coursework so that there is greater performance and understanding in introductory courses.
