Koch Modular Process Systems, LLC (KMPS) is a leading supplier of distillation and liquid-liquid extraction equipment. Pilot plant testing is often required to optimize the process conditions and generate the data for accurate design of production size equipment. Thus, a fully equipped pilot plant, including analytical laboratory is maintained and operated for process development. Included in this poster are pictures of typical pilot plant equipment set-ups for distillation and liquid-liquid extraction. Also shown are the equipment used for vapor-liquid equilibrium (VLE) and liquid-liquid equilibrium (LLE) data generation that is typically the first step in a process development program for these operations. On occasions where it is not feasible and/or economical to ship chemicals to an off-site pilot plant, pictures of the portable equipment used for on-site testing is shown as well.
