The friction between two immiscible liquid surfaces of PBD and PDMS has been experimentally determined. The static friction force determined from stop-start experiment was found to increase with longer waiting time. With the increase of friction velocity, the kinetic friction force decreased to a minimum value and then increased again. This is similar to the friction between solid surfaces lubricated with thin film. Also, with the start of friction at a given velocity, the kinetic friction force slowly decayed to stable friction forces. Normalizing the friction forces by the final stable friction force, the decay curve agreed with each other and showed to be time determined rather than governed by the friction displacement.
