Stokes flow of monodispersed, neutrally buoyant non-Brownian suspension of spherical particles over a cylinder has been investigated using Stokesian Dynamics and Suspension Balance Model. Stokesian Dynamic simulation was employed on a computational cell comprising of initially homogeneous distribution of particles around the cylinder with cylinder moving at a constant velocity . The Suspension Balance Model was implemented on a similar geometry and boundary conditions and solved using finite volume method. Results obtained from the two simulations appear to be qualitatively similar and in compliance with the theory of shear-induced particle migration. The particle phase distribution about the cylinder shows a decrease from upstream to downstream side. The observed anisotropy is present even at low concentration at which the expected normal stress differences are small.
