Nowadays FCC catalyser has a short life period because the incrustation during the operation time inside the FCC reactor. For that reason, everyday some pounds of the catalyser has to be replaced for new ones to keep the operation running. This disabled catalyser can not be just thrown on the environment, and it is sold to pottery industry to become bricks. But the catalyser is made up of zeolite, a great adsorptive material, and it can be used for adsorption proposal. The objective of this study is to determinate the adsorptive capacity of this materials and if it is feasible to use it as adsorbent for the adsorption of a liquid hydrocarbons mixture. For that, it will be determinate the isotherms for the mixture of n-hexane e ciclo-hexane on the catalyser using a finite bath and the kinetics of adsorption using a fixed bed adsorption column.
