Primary Recovery is a key step to link cell culture and purification. In monoclonal antibody production, a typical recovery process includes centrifugation, filtration and capture chromatography. Most recovery optimization is focused on improving the process yield and reducing its cost.
A case study is presented here of a photosensitivity phenomenon with potential impact to product stability. The main contributing factors that caused the photosensitivity were identified and process conditions developed to minimize these effects.
