Template wetting is demonstrated as an effective method for rapid production of polymeric nanostructures. Anodic porous alumina membranes were wetted with a polymeric solution of MEH-PPV to form thin walled nanotubes with outer diameters of approximately 100 nm and lengths of 60 µm. Scanning electron microscopy was used to characterize these nanostructures. Electrical contacts were formed on both ends of the structures by layering of gold onto the nanotubes. Rectifying behavior was observed and characterized.
