One avenue commonly used to assess the Non-Newtonian behavior of fluids has been the use Ostwald-de Waele Model or "Power Law Model" to compute the velocity field of the fluid flow. This contribution focuses on the application of a Taylor's expansion series as a strategic solution approach to the "Power Law? hydrodynamic model under free convective forces cause by Joule heating for different types of non-Newtonian fluids. Furthermore, the study concentrates on the comparison of the numerical solution and the Taylor-based solution to examine the existence of multiple solutions as predicted by this last method. Several cases of Joule heating generation are examined as well as their influence on the velocity profiles. The realistic implications of considering batch conditions are also discussed.
