The effects of composition of poly (phthalazinone ether ketone)/NMP/PEG600 casting solutions on membrane structure and performance were studied. According to the method that the mass concentration of one component was constant, and the ratio of the other two components changed, the viscosity, the gelation rate, the membrane structure and performance of three groups of casting solutions were discussed. The experiments showd that PPEK concentration was the main factor of viscosity, while PEG600 concentration was the secondary factor; the viscosity and hydrophilicity of casting solutions had strong effects on gelation rate, which increased with the decrease of viscosity and the increase of hydrophilicity; and membrane structure and performance could be well explained by the viscosity and gelation rate of casting solutions.
