PIC(Polymer Impregnated Concrete)which is made from ordinary potland cement concrete(OPC) has excellent mechanical properties as well as chemical properties. For the manufacturing of PIC, drying process of basis concrtete, impregnation process with evacuation system, polymerization process of monomers are essential. Modified microwave reactor using magnetron were used for polymerization of styrene/MMA(1:1) impregnated in pore volume of basis concrete. In this results, it has the deveeloped homogeneous PIC which mechanical strengths is increased more than 300%(800-100kg/cm2) and improved up to 25% higher resistance for corrosion to acids than normal conditions. AIBN and BPO as initator for polymerization were used lower concentration of 1%. Optimum conditions for polymerization were confirmed that frequency of microwave is 2450MHz, reaction temperature is 120oC at atmosphere.
