The scope of the work is to investigate the interactions between HA and a Chitosan-TPP nanoparticle surface at the solid/fluid interface. HA and Chitosan are both key materials in biomedical and tissue engineering. The investigation into the size and charge of the nanoparticles loaded with HA will lead to their use in scaffolding and other biomedical applications. While much research has concentrated on the drug loading of Chitosan nanoparticles, none have concentrated on characterizing the charge of the system and how this affects size distribution. The presentation will characterize the zeta potential and size of chitosan nanoparticles and the effect of HA loading on zeta potential and size distribution.
