The efficiency of medicinal plants extract for inhibition Xanthomonas campestris and Bacillus cereus, the causal agents of soft rot of vegetable and food poison. The extract of 10 medicinal plants were tested with Hibiscus sabdariffa Linn., Punicagranatum Linn., Ziinggiber zerumber(L) Smith., Citrus hystrix DC., Tammaridus indica Linn., Phyllanthus emblica Linn., Phyllanthus acidus Skeels., Momordica Charantia Linn., Garcinia manggostana Linn., Allium ascalonicum Linn. Ninety five percent of alcohol was used in the extraction process and diluted to serial dilution from 10-10-6µg/ml. Result was found that the minimum medicinal plant of Garcinia mangostana Linn. (mangosteen) extract inhibited the growth of B. cereus in dilution 10 , that have clear zone 25.50 millimeters. For other dilutions 10-1, 10-2 , 10-3 ,10-4 ,10-5 and 10-6 µg/ml, the clear zones decrease to 17.57, 9.88, 11.98, 4.75, 4.25 and 6.00 millimeters respectively. Punica granatum Linn. was the best antibacterial activity toward Xanthomonas campestris. Result indicated clear zone 26.00 of millimeters at dilution 10 and 23.63, 15.88, 8.65, 8.55, 9.00 and 8.68 at dilution 10-1 ,10-2 , 10-3 , 10-4, 10-5 and 10-6 µg/ml respectively.
