(778h) Electricity in Illinois – What Next?

Making electricity generation in Illinois more efficient and sustainable would have a significant national impact because Illinois is one of the top electricity generating states. To do this, Illinois should (1) adopt strict efficiency standards and institute outreach campaigns to educate the public about saving energy, (2) provide incentives for the development of technologies such as integrated gasification combined cycle (IGCC), and (3) encourage and improve the education of engineers.
