(21a) Three Pass Trays - Friend or Foe?

3-Pass trays have been a troublesome device for tray designers for many decades. Because of their asymmetry, these trays have seen limited applications, yet are a simple and cost effective tower internal. This paper will explore the history, applications, design and experience with 3-Pass trays in commercial applications.
