Novel membrane reactor configurations are described for catalytic reactions at high temperatures which are combined with direct fuel cell systems. Moreover, the fuel cells under development are examined for multiple energy utility applications. The high temperature reactor is suited for ample hydrogen production and separation with the use of the membrane. Moreover, hydrogen is directly delivered into the fuel cell at variable compositions in order to optimize the fuel cell operation and performance.
A number of catalysts and feedstock sources have been tested in the catalytic reactor to deliver quality hydrogen gas in the fuel cell.
Statistical analysis of the parameters involved is developed elaborately through a series of process tests.
The purpose of the tests is to examine the accuracy and the optimum performance of the fuel cell-membrane reactor system for relevant turn-key installations.
