Abstract

PñT properties in the compressed liquid phase were determined for n-hexane + n-decane and n-heptane + n-decane mixtures at temperatures from 313 to 363 K and pressures up to 25 MPa. A vibrating tube densimeter (VTD) was used to measure these densities. The classical calibration method based on two reference fluids (water and nitrogen) was used for the calibration of the VTD. The experimental densities for each n-alkane were in agreement with those reported in literature as expected. A 6-parameter Equation was used to correlate the mixture densities. This equation represents data within the experimental uncertainty of 0.2 kg/m3.
