(668b) Mesoporous Carbon and Carbon-Composite Films

A facile approach to improve the periodic mesostructure in polymer-resin and carbon films is explored by the addition of silica to a polymer matrix through the reactive co-assembly of resol (carbon precursor) and tetraethylorthosilicate with triblock copolymer Pluronic F127. The impact of added silica on the mesostructure, electical conductivity, elastic modulus, and pore size distribution will be discussed.
