Invited: Session Honoring Professor James Wei - I
Monday, November 9, 2009 - 12:30pm to 12:40pm
A common thread among the many distinguished attributes and accomplishments of Professor Wei's illustrious career is the breadth of fields covered and techniques employed, ranging from the material balance of chemical engineering faculties in research universities, to the pioneering work of Lie algebraic representation of linear differential equations, not to mention the very first software patent granted in the US. The author reminisces on his own experience in learning from Professor Wei as a graduate student, and how the learning continued to influence his career from research to corporate finance.
