Advances in Protein Expression and Post-Translational Modification

This session will highlight advances in protein expression in a wide variety of hosts including bacteria, yeast, insect cells, mammalian cells, and plant cells. Advances in cell-free protein expression are also appropriate for this session. The session will also focus on novel methods for the trafficking and display of proteins within cells as well as research on the engineering of expression hosts for improved protein expression. In addition to the focus on protein expression, the session will also include papers on the development of in vivo and in vitro techniques for improved posttranslational modification of proteins, including glycosylation, editing and secretion.
