Graduate student teams were assigned a sustainable water management project in coordination with municipalities on the Front range of Colorado as part of the Sustainable Urban Water Systems class at the University of Colorado at Denver. Our team was assigned the Town of Erie, upon consultation with plant management, it was decided that our group's efforts would focus on project work related to the Lynn R. Morgan Water Treatment facility (capacity of 6 MGD). This presentation will detail the semesters and on going efforts to promote the sustainability of the facility. Focus will be given to energy water benchmarking process, the development & investigation of metrics, stakeholder interaction from a sustainability team perspective and the Towns decisions to date.
