Three types novel distillation systems for refining organic silicon monomers, all of paralleled double-effect, 8 and 9 column scheme of one heat source, as well as 9 column scheme of two heat sources, have been stimulated and compared with their normal counterparts without thermal coupling. Results demonstrated not only the attractive energy-saving vista of the paralleled thermal coupling process, but also the feasibility of air cooler adoption through pressure adjustment to cut cooling water consumption even in subtropical zone. For instance, the heat demand of the new 2-heat-source 9-column scheme was reduced by 40~45% compared with the conventional process.
