A novel, low-cost, all-inorganic lead selenide-titania (PbSe/TiO2) heterostructure has been synthesized for photovoltaic applications using a bicontinuos soft-surfactant templated approach as well as co-electrospinning. The high interface area and good intraphase connectivity promote efficient electron-hole pair separation and high charge carrier flow. This material has been characterized by Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDX), and current-voltage characteristics at different illumination. The dependence of the I-V characteristics on PbSe particle size and connectivity of the two phases is delineated.
