Authors

Hill, P. J. - Presenter, Mississippi State University

The goal of the K-12 outreach is to develop simple hands-on laboratory activities and demonstrations to teach pre-college students about crystallization and particle technology. This is being done by having students at existing summer camps at Mississippi State University participate in these activities.

This presentation will discuss the activities and discussion with the K-12 students. Examples of activities will be given such as panning for gold by dry panning. The connection between the activities and NSF broader impacts will also be discussed.
